Effect Observation On Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy Treated With Shaoyao Gancao Decoction

Objective:To Assess the clinical curative effect on diabetic peripheral neuropathy by Shao-yao Gan-cao decoction.Methods:60cases with diabetes peripheral neuropathy were randomly divided into two groups. Both were given oral glucose-lowering drugs or insulin injection to control blood sugar. The control group of30cases were treated with mecobalamin capsule0.5mg each time,3times a day. Meanwhile the treatment group added Shao-yao Gan-cao decoction on the basis of the control group. The course of treatment was12weeks. All cases in each group were observed before and after treatment in TCSS scores and changes of the nerve conduction velocity. Hepatic and renal function, blood and urine routines, and ECG were also detected.Results:The treatment group is better than the control group in the total effective rate, TCSS scores and changes of the nerve conduction velocity(P<0.01). No obvious toxic effect was observed.Conclusion:Sapor Shao-yao Gan-cao decoction can improve TCSS scores and the nerve conduction velocity. It is proved safe and effective, and is worthy of clinical promotion use.
