Objective:To investigate distribution characteristics of cerebral artery stenosis and riskfactors in patients with acute cerebral infarction, lay the foundation for the targetedtreatment, provide objective basis for the determination of prevention and controlstrategies among ischemic cerebrovascular disease. Methods:There were232cases of cerebral infarction patients with cerebral arterystenosis by MRI and MRA examination from neurological department ofLianyungang Hospital affiliated to Bengbu Medical College. According to the patientsof artery atherosclerotic stenosis was divided into stenosis group and the narrow, thepatients with arterial stenosis were divided into pure intracranial stenosis group, pureextracranial stenosis group, and combined stenosis group;the younger group(<60)andthe elder group(≥60);the single branch lesion group and multi branch lesiongroup(≥2),to analyse the distribution and risk factors of cerebral artery stenosis.Results:1. There were114cases (62.0%) in pure intracranial stenosis group,30cases (16.3%) inpure extracranial stenosis group,40cases (21.7%) in combined stenosis group. Therewere154cases(83.7%) in intracranial stenosis,70cases (38.0%) in extracranialstenosis. There were71cases(38.6%)in pure Anterior circulation stenosis,37cases(20.1%)in pure Posterior circulation stenosis,113cases(61.4%)in Anterior andPosterior circulation stenosis. There were104cases(56.5%)in middle cerebral arterystenosis,65cases(35.3%) in anterior cerebral artery stenosis. There were68cases(36.9%)in vertebral artery stenosis,51cases(27.7%)in Posterior cerebral arterystenosis,44cases(23.9%)in basilar artery stenosis.2. Age, hypertension, diabetes, smoking, Fibrinogen(Fbg) were the independent riskfactors in cerebral artery stenosis (OR1.049,10.063,3.873,3.311,6.085).3. Hypertension, diabetes, smoking were the independent risk factors in intracranialstenosis (OR10.779,3.593,4.408). Hypertension, diabetes, Fbg were the independentrisk factors in extracranial stenosis (OR6.143,8.179,2.410).4. Combined stenosis group had a significantly higher CRP average than the other two groups of pure stenosis (P=0.001,P=0.018). There were no statistically significantdifference between two groups of pure stenosis. All of the average in the groups(3.366±1.827,3.995±3.776,5.123±5.180mg/L)were higher than normal level.5.The pure stenosis were common in the younger group. Pure intracranial stenosis(63.2%) and combined stenosis(24.0%) were common in elderly group.6. Multi branch lesion group had a significantly higher age, uric acid level than that ofsingle lesion group (P=0.036,P=0.006).Conclusion:1. Intracranial stenosis was the most common in the patients with cerebral arterystenosis. Anterior circulation stenosis was more common than posterior circulationstenosis. The anterior circulation stenosis was mostly seen in middle cerebral artery, and posterior circulation stenosis was mostly seen in vertebral cerebral artery.2.The distribution of cerebral artery stenosis varied with age.3. Age, hypertension, diabetes, smoking, Fibrinogen(Fbg) were the independent riskfactors in cerebral artery stenosis. Hypertension, diabetes, smoking were theindependent risk factors in intracranial stenosis. Hypertension, diabetes, Fbg were theindependent risk factors in extracranial stenosis.4. CRP and UA level may be inflammatory predictors of cerebral artery stenosis.
