Epidemiologic data indicates that breast cancer is closely related to proliferative breast disease, especially atypical hyperplasia of the breast. In recent years, people put forward by normal hyperplasia of breast development to breast cancer model hypothesis, And put forward in the early during reversible, play an important role in the regulation of the immune function of the patients with benign and endocrine function, can relieve symptoms, reduce the impact on people’s adverse factors, there may even be reverse disease, reduce or prevent the occurrence of breast cancer.Traditional Chinese medicine which is based on syndrome differentiation and treatment with the obvious advantages of an integrated efficacy in the treatment of benign proliferative breast disease.In recent years the application of acupoint catgut embedding therapy in the treatment of breast hyperplasia gradually on the rise, This treatment has obvious curative effect, and high safety, less adverse reaction, the patient is easy to accept, with its unique clinical practical value.Objective:Clinical observation on therapeutic effect of acupoint catgut embedding therapy in treating hyperplasia of mammary glands, and through the detection of serum sex hormones and cellular immune function to investigate the treatment of breast hyperplasia disease mechanism. Methods:collected40cases from the breast clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medicine University, give the acupoint catgut embedding therapy for3months, to observe its clinical curative effect, including the improvement of clinical symptoms before and after treatment (breast pain, tumor size and scope, associated symptoms),B ultrasound breast, changes of serum sex hormone levels in patients with luteal phase before and after treatment (E2,P,PRL),the changes of cell immune function (T cell subsets of CD3,CD4,CD4/CD8). At last, collecting datas, establishing and improving the database, application SPSS17.0statistical software for statistical analysis.Resualts:①Acupoint catgut embedding therapy can relieve pain in patients with breast hyperplastic disease of the breast, and the accompanying symptoms such as dysmenorrheal, irregular menstruation, hypochondrium distending pain also have different degrees of improvement, the total effective rate was96.61%.②After the end of the treatment, estradiol (E2)and prolactin (PRL) of patients significantly decreased compared with those before treatment (p<0.05),progesterone (P) were significantly higher than before treatment (p<0.05).③CD3,CD4compared with those before treatment significantly increased (p<0.05),no significant difference in CD4/CD8before and after treatment (p>0.05).Conclusions:①Acupoint catgut embedding milk root, Tianchi, Tianshu, Zusanli can significantly reduce the hyperplasia of breast masses, improve patient pain, hypochondrium distending pain, irregular menstruation and other symptoms, has definite therapeutic effect on hyperplasia of mammary glands.②After the treatment, patients with E2, PRL decreased, P increased, T cell CD3, CD4were increased, acupoint catgut embedding milk root, Tianchi, Tianshu, Zusanli is through the regulation of the endocrine environment tends to the equilibrium state, improve the cellular immune function of the patients so as to achieve the purpose of treating hyperplasia of mammary glands.③Catgut embedding therapy in high safety,adverse reactions less and mild, easily accepted by patients, patients can reduce the number of visits, adapt to the fast pace of modern life, is a safe, economic, effective, worthy of clinical application.
