As is known to all, Composition is one of the important part of Chinese teaching, the quality of composition is an important factor to raise the students’ writing. With the development of the Curriculum Reform, writing teaching has become a cause attracted much attention and reflection. However, It is universally puzzled for educators and teachers that the writing teaching is difficult because there are some mistakes in content choice、process guidance and evaluation. It becomes relentless pursuit for writing teaching researchers that how to overcome this problem, and to make it a pleasure for both teachers and students.Along with the concept of education fair and inclusive education, cooperative learning and small-class teaching get more and more concern. In such education background, this paper puts forward the cooperative learning to applying the writing practice under this new teaching environment, it will have the very vital significance. First it can enrich the cooperative learning theory, second it provides some composition teaching methods on the guidance for the teacher, change the abuse of our traditional composition teaching which emphasize the center of teacher, meanwhile, advocate student’s positive and initiative participation in the composition teaching process.Paper based on cooperative learning theory: social interdependence theory, development theory, delicate theory, teaching engineering theory; The small-class education theory: education fair, inclusive education; The theory of psychological process in writing: three process model, the processing of thinking model.The thesis is divided into five chapters:Chapter Ⅰ, introduction, is the analysis on the background and significance of small-class writing teaching based on cooperation, expounding this thesis research purpose and research methods, discussing briefly the concept of "cooperative learning""small-class teaching" and "composition teaching mode".Chapter Ⅱ, literature review, select and analyze the literatures about cooperative learning, small-class, and writing teaching, to serve as references for later chapters. ChapterⅢ ponder the shortage of the traditional teaching methods on the basis of the analysis in the above literature, to prove the rationality and technical reliability of the small-class writing teaching based on cooperation.ChapterⅣ, externalize the small-class writing teaching based on cooperation, and to make it a operative mode. This mode comprises sample teaching mode and autonomous teaching mode. The former consists of four basic programs:example teaching, cooperative exercises, exchange feedback, class summary. The latter consists of three basic programs:cooperative exercises, exchange feedback, class summary.Chapter Ⅴ, focuses on self-examination about small-class writing teaching, set forth the details mainly from three points:planning、organization and evaluation, analysis the details that should be concerned about in the composition teaching model.In this paper, the research puts forward the following concrete operation suggestions:first, create appropriate cooperation group; teaching content should be suitable for students to complete the writing task in a team. Second, the teacher’s guide should be precise; following the principle of combining group working and the students’independence. Third, not only to play the leading role of teachers in evaluation, more should be embodied of students in subject position.
