On The Death Writing Of Pai Hsien-yung’s Novels

As a famous contemporary writer, Pai Hsien-yung repeatedly related to death in his works of writing, and death is becoming the central themes of Pai’s creation. With his proficiency in the language, superb writing skills, he shows us a piece on the death of the picture, and repeated in different forms of death scenes and phenomena, to show various characters described by the death of sentient beings phenomena, during which all the state perspective. At the same time, through a series of images of death, he builds a unique mood, as the art of death for a complete aesthetic presentation. Described his character in a variety of writing situations, when death is always visible, revealed virtually multiple complicated emotions, fear and grief symbiosis, and also with a deep understanding of the being towards death. The variety of writing about death, are closely related to the insight of his personal experience, and the influence of East and West.In this paper, by multi-read of the text and detailed analysis, I try to launch the special subject research to the death of Pai Hsien-yung’s novels, and starting from this theme, in order to deeply explore the life connotation of Pai’s novels. In the meanwhile, through combing and finishing the track of his first white courage creation, to explore his attitudes and unique understanding towards death, in order to have a better approximation to the depths of spirituality "Pai". Also with the comprehension of his written on death, to more deeply understand the meaning and value of living, and try hard to enrich the thorough study of Pai’s work.
