Research On Structure Of Beijing Cultural And Creative Industry Based On The Theory Of Gray System

Cultural and Creative Industry, which has become pillar industry and new growtharea in the capital’s economy, is one of Beijing’s hi-tech industries needing priordevelopment. To research the structural properties of it and to find some regularpatterns may help to provide some theoretical proofs for the optimization of thestructure of the industry. It also helps to lay the basis for policy making.The starting point of the paper is to raise a problem. It then analyze the theproblem and solves it in the end. The research contents are as follows:(1) The thesis analyses the present situation of the Cultural and Creative Industryin Beijing. With the help of industrial structure theory, it builds up some analysisindicators to research the structural features and benefits on quantitative analysis. Theindicators are the degree of deviation, the comparative labor productivity, theproportion of value, the demand-income elasticity and the employment elasticcoefficient.(2) By means of grey relational analysis, it studies the relation between theincrease of the total output value and the increase of the nine inner industries, whichchanges with the time. As a result, it finds out the inner industries with the highest andthe lowest grey relational degrees.(3) By means of grey relational analysis, it builds up a grey clustering model.Combined with the structural analysis indicators above, it shows the levels of thestructure and reveals the leading industry of the cultural and creative industries inBeijing, which helps to enhance their own clustering ability.(4) Using the principles of the statistical decision theory, it describes thedevelopment strategy of Beijing’s cultural and creative industries and discusses theprinciples and directions for the government policy making.The industrial structure theory and gray system theory are applied to the study ofthe structure of cultural and creative industries, which help to expand the applicationof the theory in the field. By using of quantitative data and models, it contributes tomake up for some deficiencies and drawbacks of the research.Through the discovery of the universal laws of the structure of the cultural andcreative industries in Beijing, the government is able to seize the opportunity in the complex economic situation, so as to achieve higher starting point for innovation anddevelopment. What’s more, the experience may be copied to a broader range of thecountry and the results may provide a reference for the industrial development ofother cities.
