Modernity and tradition, inheritance and innovation is the focus of discussion inChinese design field in recent years. In modern visual design field, new foreign thoughtsinflux and permeability, eroding we had with values and aesthetics, so that our designworks is losing national personality and local characteristics little by little. Therefore, howthe modern visual design can inherit and carry forward the Chinese traditional graphic arts,using more deeply and widely in the modern vision design, is the challenge that today’sdesigners must face, but also the problem that a new generation of designers have to face.We should make full use of our own resources to create our own pure traditional Chinesedesign.This paper is mainly about the new national graphic in the modern visualcommunication design by the applied study. First, on Chinese traditional graphic overviewbriefly analyzes from the earliest times to the Ming and Qing Dynasties national graphichistory development, cultural connotation, status, as well as the new national graphicin-depth introduction and discussion, for the modern vision design application value studyprovides theory basis and foundation. Then it presents research on the effects of traditionalgraphics on new national graphic reconstruction of inspiration, elaborating from concept,shape, style, and spirit connotation, and raising expectations and requirements when thedesigners are using new national graphic element design. Finally, it researches theapplication and value embodiment of new national graphics in modern vision design.Focusing on analysis in multiple media design application. In the rapid development ofinformation technology, visual fields continues to expand today, we should make full useof advanced technology, advanced design concepts and traditional culture resourceadvantage, establish new national graphic view, constantly enrich the modern visualcommunication design in the era of multimedia, enhance the competition ability, bettershow its unique artistic charm of Chinese culture.
