The Yan ’an period was from1935when the red army reached northern shaanxi’stown of wuqi to1948when they left. Theperiod lasted13years. Northern shaanxi wasthe whereabouts of the red army long march and the starting point of the Anti-JapaneseWar.Although the area has experienced the Anti-Japanese War and liberation war, it left aglorious page in the Chinese history. Womenthere in the Anti-Japanese War andliberation war used their own industrious hands to create the glorious history, especiallygreat changes in their life during that time. Based on the analysis of the shaanxi women’seconomy, politics, education, marriage and family, different levels of content, thisdissertation sums up features of all levels in order to reflect the status of t women’s lifethere. The full text is divided into four parts; part one-analysis on different classes of thewomen’s production situation; the second part-analysis on the women’s political life. It isabout womenright’s to vote by political participation; the third part-analysis on thewomen’s education conditions through the content analysis of women’s social andnational education; the fourth part-analysis onthe women’s marriage satus through thewomen’s marriage, the problem of divorce; the last part-summary of the women’ssocial status in that period and life revelation for the contemporary women.
