This paper discusses how to use context to solve the words errors andhow the application of context theory to foreign language vocabularyteaching to the problem.Context is key to the meaning of teaching. It is not only the vocabularyteaching method, and students learning vocabulary, an effective way ofdealing with the Chinese proficiency test. Therefore, to cultivate thestudents’ awareness of context, one of the important contents to guidestudents to correctly use context and teaching. According to thecharacteristics of foreign Chinese teaching, the author summarizes five typesof errors using the common foreign language, in order to cultivate students’ability of using the context of understanding the meaning of words. Thispaper aims to explore the meaning of context theory, to expand applicationof the context, to find a simple, the vocabulary teaching methods, tocontribute to promoting the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
