In modern Chinese, the time adverb is important.Because of the quantity of the time adverbs also have a lot of meaning, foreign students always make mistakes when they learn the time adverbs.In this degree thesis,I choose 48 typical time adverbs from Boya Chinese and Standard Chinese Courses to study according to their functions being signified as time, frequency, as well as orders. My thesis has done a great effort in collecting the questionnaires among those foreign students in Yunnan University and analyzed biased errors, including its appropriate usages, locations,distinctions.Based on the above studies, my thesis also takes Errors analysis refers of the dynamic data form HSK in Beijing Language University and writing materials in Yunnan University. The conclusion of my survey and the Errors analysis are summarized the omission, added, the wrong foreword by mistake, misuses four kinds. The deep reasons caused these problems are blamed to the negative transfer of mother tongue,the negative transfer of goal tongue,avoidance strategy,besides, the teaching textbooks and teachers are also responsible for these problems. Some proposals are called for from the perspective of teaching Chinese as foreign language teachers as follows:setting the real contexts, imaging the invisible contexts, teaching the time adverbs by linguistic context and teaching the near-synonym of time adverb by making full use of the contexts.Finally, this thesis use the contexts to design detailed teaching plan which is targeted to一直”,“总是”、“一直”,“一向”,which is the highest error rate in this survey.
