In the process of learning and communication,overseas students often use synonyms incorrectly,so synonyms teaching is the focus and difficulty in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The meaning and concrete use of words cannot be separated from context,only by putting words into a specific context can we choose the appropriate words to communicate and achieve the purpose of expression.Therefore,this paper will explore how to apply context theory to the teaching of synonyms in foreign Chinese teaching.The thesis USES the methods of literature research and the experiment,by referring to the theories of applying context to vocabulary teaching and relevant research on teaching synonyms of Chinese as a foreign language,combining context and the teaching of synonyms.First of all,the first chapter of the article summarizes the basic concepts and related problems of context and synonyms on the basis of reviewing the research results,which lays an important theoretical foundation for this paper.The second chapter,on the basis of the first chapter,discusses the context and synonyms respectively,and clarifies the concepts and viewpoints adopted in this paper.In this paper,the definition of synonyms is wide,and the words with similar meanings and students' confusion are considered as synonyms.The relationship between synonyms is complex,context is the decisive factor in discriminating synonyms,and the context is divided into linguistic context and non-linguistic context in this paper.The third chapter puts forward the principle and method of teaching experiment in this paper.The selection of context varies with the differences between words.According to the differences between synonyms,it is necessary to select specific context for synonym teaching.On this basis,the context design should be concrete and true,and the teaching should proceed step by step.Chapter four introduces context into the teaching of synonyms under the guidance of theory and principle.The fifth chapter is a summary,according to the teaching experiment,it is found that teaching synonyms in the context can promote the improvement of teachers' teaching and students' Chinese proficiency.Students can use the context to understand the meanings of synonyms more quickly and distinguish the differences between words.
