Fiske is one of the representative figures of popular culture studies. Popular as a key word in popular culture studies, its definition, While terms to Fiske, its connotation, nature, character or function, meaning of thought had changed. In this paper the initiative production mass called "ideal popular". This paper aims to investigate the public view changes, Fiske’s ideal popular research strategies and methods, the context of the ideal popular arising, research the ideal popular connotation, nature, characteristics, and the ideal public standards and requirements of its mass theory, the theory source and to the point, and reflect on the meaning of it.This article altogether divides into four chapters. The first chapter as the outside research to interpret" mass popular and so on, combing the theory of archaeology, popular in the English meaning of clear ground, Macdonald, Stone, Walter Benjamin, Grimace, Adorner, Holster et al. Analysis of Fiske’s popular cultural studies applied to method. The second chapter from the text itself analysis how did Fiske do, discussed its description of the popular image, applying to the intersexual reading methods, reading popular internal structure, from the Asian cultural identity, the mass body and the political potential of Fiske’s popular model has an overall cognition. The third chapter from the ideal public connotation, nature, characteristics and standards of the ideal mass all-round interpretation and analysis show, Fiske build the ideal mass model; reveal the ideal mass characteristics and deep meaning. The fourth chapter will reveal hidden meaning in the text under the ideal of public theory source, discusses its theoretical orientation, especially on the current social practice directivity effect. And combined with the current cultural phenomena reflect the theory. Outline the ideal mass contains the spirit of the times and the enlightenment.The external research into internal discussion, with specific text reading based perspective, to explore the afresh spirit connotation of ideal mass, reveals Fiske’s unique study of popular culture consumption, reflects on the impact and influence.
