Bei Qiong, a deciple of Yang Weizhen, was a literati lived in the period of lateYuan and early Ming dynasty. Current studies on Bei Qiong are deficient both on thestudies of basic documentation and the literary creation. There are a lot more toreasearch particularly on anthology arrangement and biography of him. This paperrelates to the collation of Bei Qiong’s poems and hereunder comes the textualresearch on he himself and his collected works as well as the creation background,contents and features of his poems.This paper includes two parts. The first part expounds Bei Qiong’s collectedpoems. Chapter I concerns the textual research on the clan and lifetime of Bei Qiongand the editions of his works according to correlative historical materials. Chapter IIis about Bei Qiong’s poems’ contents and features that based on the social backgroundand his social contact with his teachers and friends during that period. The second partrefers to the collation and annotation of Bei Qiong’s poems. This part, being based onThe Collected Poems of Qingjiang Beixiansheng that photocopied the edition ofHongwu in the Si Bu Cong Kan, collates and annotates Bei Qiong’s poems with TheCollected Poems of Qingjiang Beixiansheng which was published by Yanyi Hall ofTongxiang Jin Tan’s Wenrui Building in Kangxi and The Collected Poems ofQingjiang in Si Ku Quan Shu of Wenyuan Pavilion.
