Study On Yan Geling’s Novels Of Middle And Later Period From Spatial Rhetorical

This paper starts with the spatial rhetorical angle, conducts the research from three aspects which are geographical space, mental space, structural space to Yan Geling’s novels of middle and later period. In the geographical space, the thesis probes into the three main types of geographical space in her middle and later novels from the macroscopic angle at first. And then from the micro angle, it probes into the basic unit of geographic space which is the change of the scene and its rhetorical form; In the psychological space, it mainly discusses five kinds of mental space form and its significance in the novel construction; In the configuration space, the study mainly discusses four common forms of the spatial structure in her works, and discusses the common features of this four structure spaces and its construction method. It is expected that the study could find out the form of space rhetoric in Yan Geling’s novels of middle-later period and the author’s true intentions through the analysis.
