However, there is oppression there is resistance, for thousandsof years, female resistance appeared in everywhere, and the most impressive should bethe outbreak after a long depression, which is not only from a single person but also froman awakening group. They began to require a change and fight back to the social culturesince they find their inequality in the social. In order to express to the oppression on theanger and hatred, and a lot of women in these trends showed many moment of "extreme"and "violence" behavior. In a word, it is not a resist to the patriarchal but also revenge to“the compression system”. In Chinese history, there are two main periods: the May4thmovement and the new period.Since the opium war, the closed door was opened and the traditional strong feudalculture system is beginning to show cracks. In the invasion of strong Westerncivilizations, advanced intellectuals started to gain a new understanding to the social, andsome women are beginning to realize the injury of the feudal tradition to women’s mindand body. Them actively promoting the ideas of women’s Liberation, while women’sLiberation thought also began to be received by more and more people, and building anenormous social trend of thought; Female defiance is more based on the gender of thenew period confrontation while feminism in "May Fourth" just breakout the traditionalfeudal system. The question that where thefemale resistance and revenge stands on bring us to look at the occurrence anddevelopment of feminist and the long history of mankind. This article is based on thecomparative studies between the May Fourth and twice in the new period history femalerevenge, female images of female revenge appears in the novel to research the women’sLiberation and more rational view of female revenge.First part of this article is on the cultural context of female revenge in these twotimes. Female revenge is almost in the period of social transformation, but differentsocio-cultural contexts can have a different impact. Image of female in May Fourthperiod is mostly realized the oppression of women in the feudal system of traditionalculture, thus the revenge in this period is calling for the female emancipation; while thenew period was influenced by the Western feminist women and in the awakening of theconsciousness of gender.The Part two is a comparison of the theme of female revenge image reflected inthese periods. Female revenge in the May Fourth period is targeted at traditional feudalculture, so that to show the female spiritual awakening, and the new period revenge ofthe feminine gender confrontations.The third part is the comparison of a typical image of female revenge.
