This thesis’s focal point is Wang Anyi’s Shanghaitheme novels, try to explore Shanghai theme novel’s space background, historicaldevelopment, with the female as representative of the character image, discuss the cause ofWang Anyi’s special characteristics in Shanghai writings, and discuss the changes andcreation meanings of Shanghai writings, in order to interpret Wang Anyi’s Shanghai world indepth degree. In addition, this thesis pays close attention to her Shanghai novels which angleto cut to the Shanghai life, and how to reproduce the city spirit of Shanghai.This thesis divides into three parts to discuss the Shanghai writings in Wang Anyi’snovel. The first part is review Wang Anyi’s growth experience, the growth experience formedthe unique vision when Wang Anyi looked at Shanghai ’s world, and view of history with thefemale perspective, then explore why Wang Anyi’s Shanghai writing is different from otherwriters.The second part mainly writes Wang Anyi’s city writing and women’s world. In thecity Writings, this part is focus on the performance object such as Shanghai alley’scharacteristics and the changes in the development history of Shanghai dress.
