A fortunate chance brought me to Madagascar teaching mandarine for one year at2011, teaching the zero-based children and adults. I found that learners in Madagascar made some phonetic errors in their phonetics study, based on the theory foundation of the error analysis and acquisition order, this paper studied several aspects of students in Madagascar’s initials learning process according to the dictation and pronunciation data. Firstly, I analyzed the pronunciation and dictation data from three groups and count the average error rate then examined the reasons may cause those errors. Then I gave my interpretation of the feature between the dictation and pronunciation then revealed the acquisition order of the initials under study. At last, based on this study and my teaching experience I provided five pieces of advises on teaching initials. Hope my study could be of some help for the other Chinese volunteer teachers in Madagascar and get further improved by their practices. |
