On the basis of the observed pronunciation errors made by Hungarian Chinese learners, this paper investigates the phonetic errors among the learners from the initial Chinese acquisition stage. Adopting the methodology of error analysis, a phonetic experiment accompanied with a language background survey has been applied to the research of this paper, the pursuing of the factors which caused the errors are from multiple perspectives in order to find out the regulation and provide practical advices on teaching accordingly. The paper is mainly consisted of six chapters. The first chapter presents the significance of the study, the research achievements in the field of error analyzing and the theoretical foundation of the thesis. The methodology which has been applied is referred as well. As the theory of error analysis has been applied to the studies of second language acquisition, a large amount of the achievements in the field of phonetics, lexicology and grammar are made, however, the correlational research of Hungarian Chinese language learners appears insufficient. Hence, phonetic experiments and questionnaires are implemented in this paper, in order to analyze the pronunciation errors of Hungarian students, targeted teaching strategies will be put forward. The second chapter describes and analyzes the phonetic errors appeared in the experiments based on the statistical data of the experiments which showed that the errors have appeared in finals, initials and tones as well. The third chapter discusses the causes of the phonetic errors, which mainly focuse on five aspects, including the negative transfer of mother tongue, the overgeneralization of target language knowledge, the effect of the Chinese phonetic alphabet scheme, the deficiency of teaching and teaching materials and effect of learners’personal factors. The fourth chapter verifies the result of phonetic experiment through statistical analyzing of the questionnaires, which proves that both the predictions and results from the experiments and the conlutions of the causes of errors are correct. The fifth chapter makes proposal on teaching Chinese pronunciation to beginners in Hungary specific;illy from the teaching of finals, initials and tones. The last chapter summarizes the research thoroughly and makes the conclusions.
