Since the20th century,with the social economy and the science and technologydevelopment,industrial civilization has become well-developed. The person and thenatural relations become more and more nervous. A series of irreconcilablecontradictions in the population, resources,environment and social development.Many philosophers start to thinking this problem, the emergence of a number ofoutstanding ecological and philosophical thinkers, they starting from naturalenvironment and social view, Trying to make new positioning and adjustment of therelationship between man and nature. Holmes Rolston is the most representativefigures of the Western Ecological Philosophy.His natural values are referred to as amilestone in the history of the development of ecological philosophy. He starting fromhis own unique theory, analysis of the capitalist system lead to the ecological crisis ofreason, express a new philosophical paradigm. On the basis of animal liberation, landethics, deep ecology existences expresses his theory. He thinks that natural hasindependent intrinsic value,emphasizing human respect nature, emphasizing thehuman and the natural equality.Rolston’s philosophical thought has very deep ecologyideas traces, but also has a strong experience of color and perceptual culturecharacteristics. Rolston’s thought to solve the ecological crisis, must want toestablishment a new ecological value between man and nature, but because of thecapitalist society itself has limitations, therefore, Rolston’s philosophical thought stillexists heoretical defect. Rolston’s ecological philosophy put forward manythought-provoking questions, for the development of our socialist state in theconstruction of ecological civilization, have an important reference.
