For a long time, interpretation is famous for its profession in the responsibility. Itrequires the interpreter has the quick reaction, good understanding and great memory.And sight interpretation is an important part in interpretation. It is wild used in theworld-level meetings and business meetings. Its frequent and wild use makes it ameaningful question to study the problem in sight interpretation. Actually, in thepractical application, there are a lot of problems that bored the sight interpreters.These problems would badly influence the speed and the coherence of theinterpretation. For the big numbers of the interpretation learners and interpreters, it isan important step to analysis clearly and completely the messages delivering in thesource language and memorize them in interpretation activities. Meanwhile, it is agreat challenge to most interpreters in learning. Sight interpretation, as an importantpart in interpretation, is worthy to take a deep and detailed study. So this thesis beginswith the practical and common problems in sight interpretation. It introduces sightinterpretation and the key problems in sight interpretation through all kinds ofexamples. The stress is put on the common and practical problems in sightinterpretation and the coping tactics.With a globalization background, interpretation has been a bridge betweendifferent language cultures, especially between the east and the west, for a long time.Interpretation is an oral expression which is limited by the time. The essential is thesource language is swift into another language. In interpretation, sight interpretation iswildly used. A study to sight interpretation helps to improve the ability ofinterpretation. The study about the theories and the skills in sight interpretation alsogives an effective solution to the exist problems. The thesis chooses the mostrepresentative examples in the author’s experiences. Through a deep analysis and verydetailed explaining to the examples, make a statement on the skills in sightinterpretation and give the solution.Based on the practical requirements, this thesis aims at analyzing some majorproblem triggers in sight interpreting process for the discussion of the use of somecoping strategies.To begin with, it is the brief introduction which introduces the role of sight interpretation. And I put up the importance in studying the theories in sightinterpretation.The body of the thesis is part into four chapters. The first chapter introduces thecharacters and principles of sight interpretation. Based on the principles in sightinterpretation, the study of sight interpretation is very important. The second chapterintroduces the Gile’s model to further explain the steps in sight interpretation. In thischapter, the concept of para-sense group is put up, which is very important in sightinterpretation that all the sight interpretations should obey. The para-sense groupshould be a relative separate meaningful concept, within the scope of a sight and itcan be attached with its former or later one flexible by some plus words. The pressurein sight interpretation goes from four aspects: reading, analysis, memory and thedistribution of attention.The third and the fourth chapter introduce the commonproblems in inputting and production the interpretation. According to my ownexperience, I set many examples and give my recommended solutions. At last, give aconclusion of the whole thesis. I stress the important role of sight interpretation againand the practical of my thesis. But limit by the knowledge and the theories of mine, aswell as the limit of the paragraphs involved, I show my sorry for the inconvenience ofthe careless mistakes and the not proper parts.As China is more and more involved into the world communication, it is adouble-edged sword to the interpreter. It provides both the word opportunities and thechallenges to the interpreters. Each interpreter should try to improve the quality andability to grasp every opportunity and challenge. Interpretation is a flexible work.Each interpreter may have her own method in learning and working. Through theunderstanding and analysis of the examples, the author hopes that it states clearly theexperience of her own and it can be a reference to the other interpretation learners.
