Classical Chinese drama is a kind of comprehensive art of time and space, for it embodies the essence of the aesthetic thought of Chinese traditional culture. Chang Sheng Dian is one of the most important works in history, which represents high aesthetic ideal and value of classical Chinese drama. The two English versions of Chang Sheng Dian present the translators’ thought of the aesthetics of translation. This paper aims to find those aesthetic factors implicit beyond the source text and tries to achieve the complete transfer of information and the aesthetic value of interlingual translation. In order to solve the cross-lingual aesthetic problems in the cross-cultural context, the theories of aesthetics of translation focus on the research of aesthetic object, aesthetic subject and aesthetic emotions, etc. It is of great practical significance to disseminate this unique Chinese art from the perspective of the aesthetics of translation. This paper first analyzes the beauty of image, beauty of music, beauty of artistic conception and beauty of banter from the linguistic perspective. Then it discusses the multi-dimensional construction of aesthetic value as the unity of opposites of aesthetic subject and aesthetic object. And it also compares the translations of pearls of wisdom and "feminism" of two versions of Chang Sheng Dian, with a view to realizing the optimization translation through semantic analysis, aesthetic style and enhancement of the emotional control of the aesthetic subject.Aesthetics of translation should seek for all kinds of effective aesthetic compensatory means. The translator should look for language aesthetic strategies for translating classical Chinese drama, make efforts to obtain the effect of "horizon fusion" between Chinese and western cultures, making the drama symbols within the oriental aesthetic framework become known to the world.
