Simone de Beauvior was known as a great philosopher, writer and feminist inFrance in the twentieth Century.As Sartre’s lifelong companion, her thought is deeplyimpacted by Sartre.A wide range of her writing, having a lot of works, which worksThe Second Sex is the one of the most famous masterpiece. In this work, Beauvior toexplore women’s issues from all aspects of the biology, psychology, sociology,philosophy, history, religion, mythology and literature.Along the women fromchildhood to old age life trajectory, with various women (lesbians, prostitutes,mistress, nuns, career women) as the object, explore women’s individual developmenthistory, research their physical and mental status and living conditions, draw aconclusion:women are not born, but rather acquired.As an existentialist writer, Beauvior’s feminist thought influenced by Hegel,Heidegger and Sartre.Hegel’s"master and slave relationship"and"self-consciousness"doctrin、Heidegger’s"eigentlich-uneigentlich" theory and Sartre’s "theother"and "being-for-itself and being-in-itself"theory is Beauvior’s theoretical basis offeminist thought. In addition, Beauvoir’s feminist thought is the product of theirspecific historical environment, can not be separated from her personal lifeexperiences and the situation of women at that time.Then this article summarizes the main feminist thoughts in The Second Sex,combined with the shape of the female image in her novels to conduct acomprehensive analysis, and then elaborated Beauvoir’s suggestion about the futureof women.Finally, describe its influence on the development of the feminismthoughts of Chinese and Western feminism, more objectively evaluate thesignificance and the limitations of the theory.
