This article focuses on the allocation problems at the box office in domestic film industrysince the new century. Because of the changeable market environment and some other multiplereasons of the globalization, the box office allocation puzzles become far-reaching, complicated,and have affected the whole film industry. To better illustrate how these happened and how todeal with them, after the introduction section of this article’s topic background, literature reviewand research methods, the coming three chapters will give more details about the effects andsome feasible measures to solve the allocation puzzles.Chapter1This chapter describes the movie product’s characteristics, the composition ofinvestment entities, the proportion of allocation, and the principle of distribution. In this part,some questions about allocation of film market will get a brief explanation.Chapter2The cores part of the article. This chapter will describe the specific puzzles ofthe box office allocation and tries to analysis them. To conclude, there are five aspectsconcerned: the patterns of allocation are not diverse enough; each enterprise only focuses ontheir own interests; the contradiction between individual benefit maximization and the Industrycomprehensive optimal; legal consciousness and the lack of self-discipline; the role ofgovernment does not function well in the box office allocation. And all these problems arerelated to the lack of a sense of fairness in the whole film industry.Chapter3Starting from the adjustment trend and the implementation conditions, thischapter focuses on the analysis of future direction of development of the domestic film industry.Conclusion This part is a summary of the box office allocation problems in domestic filmindustry.
