Oral Chinese teaching plays an important role in teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage.As a basic course,it works as a bridge for the learners applying languageknowledge to practical communication, which has important practical significance.The primary learners want to master basic language knowledge by learning to meet theneeds of daily life, therefore their purpose of learning is stronger, it is of greatsignificance to improve the quality of the primary oral Chinese teaching.Primary Learners have difficulty in communication,and they are lack of languagesensitivity and sense, so it needs creating communicative situation in the teaching,while the traditional teaching cannot do very well. The applying of multimedia inteaching in recent years, provides a new idea for the solution of the above. Multimediawhich collects text, sound, image, animation, and other functions into an organic whole,can create a lot of communication situations to meet the demands of teaching.Multimedia teaching can arouse and stimulate the learning enthusiasm, initiative andcreativity of students, which can improve the oral Chinese of students.First the paper analyses principles of application of multimedia in primary oralChinese teaching.Second it designs multimedia teaching program model by spokenlanguage teaching material<guojie、kaiwanhui>,analyzes the effect of multimediateaching, discusses the advantages and disadvantages.Third it summarizes the matterswhat we need to pay attention in multimedia teaching. This paper mainly discusses theapplication of multimedia in the primary teaching Chinese as a foreign language,which will prompt it more target-oriented, conforming to the learner’s characteristicsand requirements,and improving the quality of oral Chinese teaching as a foreignlanguage.
