Study On The Chinese Translation Of Articles From Foreign Magazines And Newspaper

The author, entrusted by Shidaiyoukan Magazine, made and translated excerpts from articles from Time Magazine and Washingtonpost, which reflect hot issues in the world. During the process of translation, due to insufficient understanding of the original texts, problems occurred like words not being equal, forms taking priority over meanings, having no idea about how to create a new sentence by adding or omitting. The practice report proposes that translators should adopt use dynamic equivalence as guidance to correct the abovementioned problems with the aid of translation auxiliary tools.
