It contains a mass of official documents, such asspeeches, reports, congratulations, summaries, methods and suggestions. By usingabundant oral vocabulary for the diction and sentence, it makes the writing lively,simple and easily understood. It can be called as the example of using oral language.Therefore, studying the oral language of “Dengxiaoping Selections” can deepen thefurther understanding on official document language. Meanwhile, it can reflect thegeneral pattern of oral language in the document writing, to overcome theshortcoming of oral language misuse in the document writing and improve thequality of document writing.Based on “Dengxiaoping Selections-All three volumes” as the source oflinguistic data, contemporary Chinese language as theoretical foundation, the paperdivides into six chapters to make a comprehensive, systematic and deeply researchon the oral language of “Dengxiaoping Selections”.The first chapter introduces the research status, research significance, researchmethod as well as research content in this article.The second chapter describes a new definition of the oral language in officialdocument by contrasting and analyzing the oral language of contemporary Chineselanguage and official document language.The third chapter divides the oral vocabulary of “Dengxiaoping Selections”into eight categories and discusses the applications.The fourth chapter summarizes the oral language vocabulary features of“Dengxiaoping Selections”, by the classifications and applications of oralvocabulary in the third chapter.The fifth chapter analyzes the oral language rhetorical device features of“Dengxiaoping Selections”, by the classifications and applications of oralvocabulary in the third and fourth chapter.The sixth chapter makes a conclusion above the five chapters, that is, it needs standard by applying oral language in official document.
