With the communication between China and the rest of the world getting increasingly frequent, the translation between English and Chinese, especially English-Chinese interpretation, is becoming more and more needed. As a result, how to improve the quality of the interpretation has become a prominent issue waiting to be solved in both research area and university teaching. The pre-task preparations and the application of on-the-site interpretation strategies are the two main issues discussed in this paper, aiming at improving the quality of consecutive interpretation.
