Teaching Foreigners Chinese characters is one of the most important parts of teachingChinese as second language. The problem that Chinese character is very difficult to learnand to teach has plagued the teaching Chinese as a second language. That problem is oneof the difficulties in the teaching of Chinese characters.This paper summarized current situation of teaching Foreigners Chinese characters.From the respective of structure characteristics, the learner’s cognition and teaching, thisthesis uses analyzing statistical method and contrast method to classify and get statistics ofthe intermediate Chinese characters in Chinese Characters A Systematic Approach.Thispaper Classified and analyzed the characteristics of the components. This paper Classifiedand get statistics of the intermediate Chinese characters according to both traditional "SixCategories" and Su Peicheng’s Modern "Six Categories" theory. This paper exploredrelationship of intermediate Chinese characters of traditional and modern two kinds ofstructure. This paper provided suggestions for teaching Chinese as second languageaccording to the characteristics of functional components and relationship of intermediateChinese characters of traditional and modern two kinds of structure.
