The Practical Report On English Translation Of Chinese Accounting Text

International society attaches great importance to the development of Chinese economy as the increasing development of Chinese economy and its participation in the international activities. As an important branch of commercial language, accounting text and its translation have much influence on the economic transactions. The report is about an individual task concentrating on the Accounting Standers for Small Enterprises (caikuai [2011] No.17) issued by Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China in Oct.18th,2011. The translation project has been accomplished by the author and her team, who translate more than15,000characters within15days. It is expected that the report could provide reference for the similar small-scale translation projects in preparation before translation, process design, language transformation, translators’qualities and revision of text etc. as well as the MTI teaching and learning process.As the manager of the translation project, the author takes the mode of Translation Company to accomplish the translation project, which is finished by the translation team through the three processes of translation including translation by translators, discussion in team and review. The author mainly takes description method and analysis way to finish the report.In the report, the author firstly makes a general introduction to the whole text, analyzes the nature&features of the text and design based on the requirements of small-scale translation project, especially in the preparation before translation and process design. During the translation process, the comprehension, expression, proofreading and revision are key points, especially in the language transformation, such as, word and phrase, short sentence and long sentence, grammar and logical expression etc. For the language transformation, the author makes contrastive analysis of the translations or analyzes the better translation to summarize the skills of language transformation. It is indicated in the report that the translators should make comprehensive understanding and attach importance to the sections of translation to meet the detailed requirements of project, as well as, the preparation before interpretation and process design are the basis of good translation work, language transformation and text review are the key points and the translators’ quality also influence the whole translation process.
