| PowerPoint slides are widely used in business presentation, training, and other fields.It serves two purposes: a visual aid supporting an oral presentation, and a stand-alonedeliverable reporting the results or conclusion of a project.This thesis summarizes the feature of the PPT texts from the perspective of contentand structure, and proposes some translation strategies for PPT slides texts focusing onaccurate understanding, reasonable output, and efficient communication. Specifically, thesestrategies include emphasizing on logic flow, regarding the whole PPT slides deck as onetranslation unit, and getting clues from the contents that do not need to be translated. |
