Objects This paper was aimed to discuss the development situation of high school students’self-supporting personality, time management disposition and its important demographic variables on the differences and characteristics, and then to explore the influence of self-supporting personality on the time management disposition. The ultimate purpose was to find the independent personality of high school students which could predict the time management disposition, and to provide certain theory reference for curriculum settings which concerns about high school students mental health education and promote the development of high school students’mental health education.Methods This paper has adopted a method, combining literature review and questionnaires. The participants were700students of two high schools,who finished the Self-Supporting Personality Scale and Time Management Disposition Scale. In addition, the SPSS17.0statistical analysis was also applied, such as descriptive statistics, independent sample T-test, analysis of variance, correlation analysis and regression analysis method for a detailed discussion on the data.Results (1) The scores of high school students’self-supporting personality in each dimension are above the critical value; boys have significantly higher scores than girls on personal independence and openness (p<.05), while girls’scores on interpersonal openness are significantly higher than boys (p<.05);(2) The scores of high school students’time management tendency are all around the critical value; boys have higher grades than girls on the time management efficiency (p<.01);(3) High school students’ time management tendency is closely related to the self-supporting personality in all dimensions (p<.05); The Regression analysis shows that the individual initiative, personal flexibility, individual openness, personal responsibility and personal effect of self-supporting personality can predict high school students’ time management disposition to some extent. And the five factors can account for the40.6%of the variance of the total score on the aspect of high school students’ time management tendency.Conclusion (1) In general, the high school students’ self-supporting personality is influenced by gender, whether the only child, whether the class leader, not by the grade variables;(2) High school students has a low level in the development of time management tendency, and the affected factors include gender,whether the only child, and whether the class leader;(3) High school students’self-supporting personality are closely related to time management tendency, of which individual initiative, personal flexible relationship, personal openness, personal responsibility, and personal wisdom have a great impact on their time management.
