Abstract/Summary:
This is an English-Chinese translation report on China and GlobalMacroeconomic Interdependence. The source text is an economic research report ofthe Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA) of the Australian NationalUniversity. Through this project, the translator is trying to achieve two goals: the firstis to deliver the cultural implications and meaning of the source text to targetedreaders and present them some research results which they can use for reference; andthe second is to conduct the project with reference to Functional Equivalence theoryof Eugene A. Nida and provide a basis for the future translation activities ofacademic theses on economy. This translation project is divided into four chapters: InChapter One, the author gives an overall introduction to this translation project,including the project background, project goal as well as the structure of thetranslation report. In Chapter Two, the author explains the Functional EquivalenceTheory at first, and then discusses the main contents and language features of thesource text. In Chapter Three, the author discusses the major difficulties in this projectand the main translation methods which have been adopted for these difficulties. Andin Chapter Four, the author summarizes this translation report by elaborating on someenlightenments of the translation process and unsolved problems in the project.
