Vision is the most important and the most direct sense for people to obtain information,people’s food, clothing, shelter, and other visual aspects won’t complete without vision.Layout design is part of the visual communication system, and is perceived to exist as theshape of practical value and artistic value. Make reasonable limited visual elements ofpermutations and combinations, personalize the rational thinking manifested in conveyinginformation, but also gives a visual enjoyment, which is the ultimate goal of layout design.Although the layout design history is not long, but in the majority of exploration and researchof scholars, it becomes more and more evidence-based. This thesis is an analysis and study forlayout design principles and methods based on a combination of theoretical knowledge relatedto general psychology, visual psychology, psychology of art and visual arts psychology.Through the use of case studies, combine the layout design principles, methods andtheories of psychology, to analyze the psychological experience in layout design; standing onthe audience’s psychological perspective, examine the layout design principles and methods toguide designers convey design theme information effectively in the practice of design, and togenerate interest in reading to the readers to get enjoyment. The thesis is divided into fivechapters:The first chapter is mainly to find and analyze the psychological experience of layoutdesign realistic basis through the introduction of visual knowledge of psychology, grasp theessence of psychology of visual, and through statements and include a lot of visualpsychology, psychology and general design psychology literature, analyzing thepsychological experience of layout design theory.The second chapter is mainly through the analysis to visual experience of the audiencefor the design elements of the layout, form and constitute the basic rules that should befollowed in layout design, discussed the psychological experience of the visual elementscomposed in layout design to audience.The third chapter is mainly to analyze the basic principles and the basic principles oflayout design through the “note quality" and "perceived" ordinary psychological experience.Seeking audience of generally accepted in the actual creation of layout design.The fourth chapter is the research of practical application of psychological experience inlayout design, the layout of the book binding design, the layout design of poster design, and layout design of packaging design has been demonstrated, although they belong to the samecategory of graphic design, but they have different psychological experience in the layoutdesign that need pay attention to. Use theory to guide practice, making the research haspractical significance and value.The fifth chapter is a summary to this paper, emphasizing the importance of thepsychological experience to visual communication and exchange of people, the study ofvisual psychology is "people-oriented" eternal truths.
