| With the increasing development of economy and culture between China andThiland, and our great impetus to teaching Chinese for foreigners, there are more andmore people studying Chinese in Thailand. Chinese as a major subject in ThailandUniversities has systemticly promoted. Various problems of teaching follows thefierce development of Chinese studying.Chinese intials teaching is a obvious problem.For example,some teachers’ approaches lack of pertinence and practicability,andteaching methods are short of diversity and creativity, which both lead to negativeeffects. Initial teaching is the basis of phonetics teaching, the core content of problemsand teaching. Therefore, how to pertinently teach Chinese initials is a main subject.The early study of Chinese phonetics teaching and phonetics errors offers theimportant reference for Chinese phonetics teaching in Thailand. This thesis mainlyfocus on Chinese initials teaching for Thai college students who are Chinesezero-based,and different from other age level students so that their studying attitudeand behavior both present particular advantage and disadvantage.This thesis aims atputting forward a systematic,practical,efficient method of Chinese phonetics teachingfor zero-based college students in Tailand.Chapter one mainly talks about the background and siginificance of this paper,generally reviewed the history and present situation, and also describes the researchtheory and methods.Chapter two makes a detailed comparison on the manner of articulation, thelocation of articulation and the notation in the initial system of Chinese and Thai inorder to find out the differences and similarities between them. These differences aremainly manifested on the following aspects: there are eleven initials which have thesame location and manner of articulation in Chinese and Thai; there are four initialswhich are same as the corresponding notation; the voiced sound in Thai has a largerpercentage than Chinese; there are more occlusive and fricative in Chinese than Thai; Thai has no lingua–palatal phoneme and blade-palatal phoneme; Chinese has nolingual alto phoneme and guttural phoneme. As a result, this paper will analysis andconclude the errors and problems the students make when they acquire the initial fromthe perspective of native language, target language and the other foreign language.Chapter three puts forward the teaching rules according to the characters of Thaicollege students’ Chinese acquisition. The contents are: highlighting the importantpints, intensive explanation and more practice; from easy to different step by step;increasing interesting in the class; setting up the specific learning motivator; fosteringthe perception of different language; making full use of the characters of the studentsin Thai to teach Chinese.Chapter four proposes "demonstration method","manual alphabet","voicedmethod", andâ€comparison method†observing the above teaching rules.Comprehensively considering each initials rate of errors and their acquisitiondifficulty in order to arrange teaching order. Finaly, based on the above studying, thispart designs each group of initials teaching. |
