Drawing is a method of recording human history, and also a naturel tool to expressour emotion. It can release our pressure, settle emotional problem and make us feel warm.The art therapy refers to make use of painting to present the subconscious emotion anddesire, and obtain the expression and meet in the painting, so as to achieve the effect ofdiagnosis and treatment.Based on the domestic international existed research, this study starting from the viewof art therapy, which met the group counseling in order to study the effectiveness of arttherapy in improving ego-identity in college students, enriched the content of the drawingtherapy and provided a reference for the college students’ psychological healthy educationand group counseling.This paper studied by using the method of questionnaire,screened20participants (10students in intervention,10in control group).The intervention group received once a weekdrawing therapy intervention (total of8),and the control group do nothing. Both of them dothe Post-test of questionnaire after intervention, and using the SPSS20.0to analyze thedata.The results show that: the characteristics of drawing therapy and healing mechanismare applicable adjustment to solve the problem of ego-identity of college students. Theintervention had significant effect on the self consciousness, time perspective, authorityconfusion, role experimentation and self certainty, for the status of ego-identity,drawingtherapy reach a significant level.The paper is divided into five parts. The first part discusses the Drawing Therapy,Ego-identity theory and research status. The second part described the overall study design.Third part analyzed the data and presents the results from questionnaire of Pre-test andPost-test, the paintings also be analyzed after intervention. The last part I reflect on theoverall research and take a look.This study broaden the scope of application of drawing therapy by combining theory with practice, and provide suggestions to Drawing Therapy in school counseling andmental health education in guiding significance in practice.
