The research on the unearthed Han slips has passed almost a century, since 《流沙坠简》,which was the first book in this field,was published in1914written byWang Guowei and Luo Zhenyu. Compared to the prosperity of the research on theunearthed Chu and Qin text materials,the research on the unearthed Han slips isn’tthat popular. Although the academic circle has already deeply discussed it, theresearch usually focus on certain questions of an aspect or some others. The academicresults are not systemic enough to show the overall state and research pace of Hanslips. Based on the above considerations, we need to summarize and review thepresent research condition of Han slips, though scholars obtained a giant progress intext explanation and analysis through great effort during these years.This paper will analyze the theme in the following aspects:Chapter1:Foreword, concisely describe how do Han slips be unearthed and bepublished, at the same time the paper will totally illustrate the present situation ofresearch of Han slips.Chapter2:Summarize the progress in text explanation and analysis. In particular,summarize the paper which has the significant impact in this field.Chapter3:Review the study on Characters of Han slips characters research. Itcontains four aspects: research on types of characters; research on the relationbetween the form and the meaning of the Chinese characters, especiallyinterchangeability characters, Gu jin zi and doublet characters; research on the type ofslips characters of the Han Dynasty; research on character encodings.The last part of the paper is the summary of the work,points out the shortagesand makes a prospect and some suggest on research of Han silps.
