Chinese calligraphy can be said to be the art through the eyes watching, so the shape of Chinese characters in calligraphy creation is particularly important, especially in today more and more writers pays attention to components of space and sense of form. So study the problem of components of space in Chinese calligraphy has very important significance. This paper is to study characters of space in Wang Xizhi calligraphy--to Hong Fu Temple Sramana Huairen "Ji Wang Sheng Jiao Xu" as an example. Through study on its character space, including stippling, structure, characters of space etc. And then described its impact on calligraphy writing style of later times. The later calligraphers did not completely follow the "Ji Wang Sheng Jiao Xu", but the absorption innovation. Some calligraphers began reinterpret calligraphy, such as imitating the calligraphy in Jin and Tang Dynasty, Qin and Han Dynasty and even as far as Qin Dynasty, to get rid of the writing mode of "Ji Wang Sheng Jiao Xu", and they began to pursue the kind of free spirit in Wei Jin.Today, with the development of cultural diversity, artistic style also will be more diverse, we can say the calligraphy has entered a new era. Now, mangy calligraphers in learning calligraphy of Wang Xizhi, is not only the imitation but also add their ideas, novation absorption of other elements, such as the Qin and Han brick, the bamboo writing slips, the remnant paper, the epitaph of statues and so on. In this way will enrich the writing mode of "Ji Wang sheng jiao xu", in writing you can join the Zhuan calligraphy, Li calligraphy, tablet inscriptions of the Northern Dynasties and even in the components of space to innovation, To make a long story short, it is more emphasis on artistic expression and space of calligraphy.
