The adverbial is an impartial part of the sentence in the Chinese language and itbecomes the main obstacle for most foreign students who are learning Chinese. Dueto the flexibility of multiple adverbials order, the misuse of adverbials will result inthe misunderstanding during the daily communication for the Chinese learners. Howto accurately use adverbials is crucial for Chinese teaching as well. Therefore, thisessay has selected multiple adverbials as the research object. It quotes the research ofmultiple adverbials errors by South Korean students from HSK dynamic CompositionCorpus. Also, it is based on the research of multiple adverbials and second foreignacquisition. This article deeply analyzes bias corpora using the examples of thematerials that were collected during my Chinese teaching experience in South Korea.This essay is composed of five sections. The first part generally describes thestudy object and also it introduces the result of previous research in multipleadverbials and second language acquisition. The second section focuses on thecomposition of adverbials, the order of multiple adverbials and the factors offormation rules. In the third section, the article summaries various types of multipleadverbials misused by Korean students. The fourth section states the factors of themisuse by analyzing students, teachers and study materials. As the flexibility of themultiple adverbials order causes the misuse of adverbials, it becomes the maindifficulty for Korean students when learning Chinese. As for Chinese teaching, thecomposition of text books ignores the explanation of multiple adverbials. The last partsuggests some useful methods to assist Korean students in improving studying andteaching Chinese language.This article focuses on the analysis of mistakes in sentences by applying theinter-language theory, the contrastive analysis theory and the error analysis. Also, itgives advice in term of studying, teaching and materials writing for Chinese learning.
