With the development of social material and spiritual civilizations, people’s understanding about the importance of quality education has deepened continuously. As an important and integral part of the socialist spiritual civilization, the social musical education activities which play a role of assisting, supplementing and promoting the music education to schools, should not be overlooked. Compared with those programs in school, social musical education activities are attracting a wide variety of people in the community for their wide range of educational objects, rich content and various forms of performing. Being an important part of social activities as well as the social music education, the social musical education activities have provided an important way to implement social music education with a growing influence and an irreplaceable role. Speaking from the basic aspect, the social musical education activities can express people’s musical ability, enhance their perception and improve men’overall musicianship, which plays an important role in the all-round development of humankind; from the perspective of the entire community, the social musical education activities not only give an assistance and a supplement to the school music education, but also help greatly to advance the music culture of the whole society and improve people’s quality. With the development of the society, people show an growing demand for social musical education activities which have increasingly been a reflection of the local spiritual and cultural level as well as an indispensable part of the music field.On the basis of investigation and research on the Arts Festival of teachers and students in social musical education activities of FengGang County and an in-depth analysis of the existing problems, this paper puts forward some views and suggestions to the development of social musical education activities of FengGang County, even for the whole country. This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is a simple exposition of the reason and significance of this topic; The second part is about the concept, nature, characteristics, and relationships of social musical education activities; The third part is the exposition about the form of carrying out, the organizers and participants, the evaluation etc. based on the author’s survey on the current situation of FengGang’s Arts Festival of teachers and students; The fourth part mainly makes statistical analysis on the problems and causes existed in theoretical research, organizers, evaluation etc. of such activities basing on relevant analysis and research. The fifth part puts forward corresponding recommendations and strategies according to the general problems existing in the social music education activities in FengGang County and even in the whole country.
