With each transformation of the contemporary society, the circle of the fine art education begins to pay attention to the other type of education outside the school in the experience and the theoretical research. Under this kind of situation , people pay more and more attention to the social education of the fine arts. According to the brief analysis of the social education, the social education of the fine arts can be limited to "broad sense" and "the narrow sense" . It has been playing the very important role in the long history of mankind. But, when the school became the main implemental body of the fine art education, the social education of fine art appears as a status of continuation and supplement. As an important kind of the education of fine arts, its function has not been able to display fully. Facing all sorts of contradictions, we must reexamine the education system of fine art carefully, and expand the field of vision to the outside of school under the new educational concepts. The concept of "the comprehensive education" advocates the breakthrough of the scope of time and space, takes the lifelong education as the foundation, and integrates the society , family and school together, forms the integration of education, and gives the new connotation to the isolated fine art education. Moreover, in the new century, a series of transformations as post-industry society, intellectual economy, information society, internet education, characteristic ideological of education and the tendency of the art development and so on, all of these bring some new challenges, requirements and changes to the social education of fine art. Under the circumstance of the comprehensive education, the new system of social education of fine art will develop to the broader scope of time and space in the society. With its own complex structure, the social education of fine art will present its consecution, lifelong and multiple characteristics in education. All of this influence each other, push each other, and promote the development of the social education of fine art.
