Inspection On Sentence Of Verb"Suibian" From Various Aspects In Modern Chinese

This paper selects the "suibian" as the object of study, based on Mr. Xing Fu-yi’s theory of Clausal Pivot and the theory of Two Triange. This article makes a mutti-angle analysis in the structure, semantic features and pragmatic functions.The first part is the introduction. It reviews the previous researches, it gives a brief introduction of the methods and material of the study.In the second part, we have made a research of "suibian" to constitute a separate sentence. First of all,it studies the verb "suibian" in the respective type of tone, which includes Imperative mood, Declarative mood and Exclamative mood. Imperative mood and Exclamative mood are stronger ability in making sentences. Modal particles in the end of sentence are abundant. It makes the word "suibian" have a particular tone to express a certain intention. Secondly, we have made a research of "suibian" which can’t constitute a separate sentence. It Mainly divided into three types:the first is’"suibian’+follow-up component" clause, the Second is "Add ingredients before+"’suibian’clause, the third is "Former add composition+’suibian’"+follow-up component" clause. We have compared and analyzed the tone type and the characteristic of composition before "suibian" and after "suibian".In the third part, we have done the inspection about the meaning in the sentence of "suibian". When it constitutes a separate sentence, the meaning of the sentence is estimated according to the context. We have made a research of "suibian" which can’t constitute a separate sentence. The Logical semantic relationship of this is divided into three types:coordination relationship, reason-result relationship and contrast relationship. What’s more, the sentence of "suibian" has more abundant meaning. It shows the speaker don’t care about it to embody the speaker’s helpless. Besides, it expresses the meaning of the promise, induce and make oneself at home.In the fourth part, it do some research about the pragmatic functions in the sentence of suibian". According to the context, the sentence of "suibian" has some functions, such as prominence functions, responsive functions, responsive functions and mood softening functions.In the fifth part, it make a comparative study between the sentence and the relevant sentence patterns. It also make comparisons among sentences of "suibian", sentence of "suiyi", sentence of "wusuowei" and sentence of "sui+P".In the sixth part, it sums up the main content and important conclusion of the full text and points out the shortage of this paper and research directions in the future.
