As the high-speed progress of education technology and the continuous ongoing of teaching reform today, conforming the modern education technology to teaching practice is not only the requirement of education development, but also the demands of improving the education present situation and reforming the teaching methods. Currently the multimedia assisted classroom of Teaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language as a new teaching method is generally accepted, and spring up a lot of research achievement. Under the detailed survey of the School of Chinese Language and Literature Beijing Foreign Studies University, the purpose is to unearthing the present situation of the multimedia-assisted Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, discovering the problems and finding a solution to resolve them, looking forward to providing some means for the progress of multimedia-assisted Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The survey is conducted among School of Chinese Language and Literature Beijing Foreign Studies University’s Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language teachers and students who learning Chinese as a second language with questionnaire and interviews. The research results indicate that:Most teachers and learners are in favor of the multimedia-assisted Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language; teachers are qualified on applying multimedia, at the same time, a lot of teachers can apply multimedia legitimately on the actual situation of the classroom and the needs of teaching content; The environment of multimedia teaching is good in the Beijing Foreign Studies University; multimedia assisted Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language classroom can improve the learning interest and effect of students.All the study consequent in this dissertation also indicates that, contrasted to the rapid development of multimedia technology, there are still some restraint in the progress of classroom teaching practices. In the practical teaching, there are a lot of subjective and objective reasons limiting the multimedia have an effect on the Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. Such as:the multimedia equipment’s deficiency; the low levels of teaching and poor multimedia-using skills of some teachers; the unsuited learning manner.For the current situation of multimedia-assisted Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language mirrored in the study, this dissertation propose the following recommendations:Teachers are required to set up a favorable concept of multimedia-assisted teaching, grasp of their own roles accurately; improve the skills of applying multimedia; pay attention to multimedia courseware design principles, creating high quality multimedia courseware; Teaching departments should reinforce teacher cultivate and evaluation, also intensify money invested on multimedia teaching equipment.
