From Specific Emotion To Mate-emotion:A ERP Study

In recent years, the brain mechanism research of emotion is the lord of cognition nerve science of emotion to offend a direction. Dolcos(2004) applies a fMRI technique, before the emotion knows and discovers in the research the function of prefrontal cortex and amygdala, almond amygdala energy to exciting basic emotion color quickly detection, while prefrontal cortex has an important function in the emotion evaluation process of high class.According to the development problem of emotion, this research aim at make use of ERP’s technique to study the process between specific emotion and mate-emotion.The research adopts the standardize emotion scene picture reflection consistency on the average in above80%, the distinction submits specific emotion category:happy, sorrow, abhorrence and fear. The paper include two experiment designs, one is design as4(emotion category)x5(Fpz; Fz; Cz; Pz; Oz), and a2(emotion state) x4(emotion category), repeated measurements were performed, the ERPs analysis electrode selects by examinations brain centerline5electrodes(FPZ; FZ; CZ; PZ; OZ)carry on analysis.The resuls showed that:the reaction time of different and specific emotion existence difference; The individual reports that the process of mate-emotion appearance increased while compared to the specific emotion. There have a significant interaction between emotional experience and electrode position, fear emotional experiences in different brain regions always cause more positive amplitude than other emotional experience, and abhorrence emotional experiences always cause more negative amplitude than other emotional experience in all brain regions. And, after the picture presents250ms, ERPs appear separation;250-300ms, and300-800ms, ERPs all exist difference; Individual in the process of carrying on a detection to the oneself emotion, it the ERPs wave is much lower.The frontal zero show more activating and appear more obvious separation phenomenon than occipital region.Conclusion:First, pleasant, sad, disgust and fear, the four different specific emotion have significant differences in reaction time when experience emotion, and the fire is the shortest, the pleasant is more shorter than sad and disgust. Different emotion experiences have different impacts in different area of the brain.Second, pleasant, sad, disgust and fear, the four different mate-emotion state of self awareness significant differences in reaction time.Third, the emotional experience has more positive amplitude than emotional self awareness status of mate-emotion. There are different neural mechanisms between them.Fourth, Individuals on their own emotional awareness process showed inhibitory effect on emotion feeling.
