Zhang Xiaoxiang And The Literature Environment In Early Years Of The Southern Song Dynasty

On the basis of predecessors’ research, the paper, with a historical perspective, bystudying his friends and the cultural environment of the time, will try to find the socialsituation of Zhang Xiao xiang and the main contemporary scholars and politicians.From it,wecan explore the influence of the literature environment, and learn to ideological trend onZhang Xiaoxiang, and then discusses the relationship between environment and creation atthat time, in order to study the relation of literary environment change and the transformationof literary creation in the early Southern Song Dynasty.The full text is divided into three parts.The first chapter is about probe of ZhangXiaoxiang’s lifetime and friends.Because of the abundant research in his life and richachievements,so this part will emphasize the situation of his friends.The second chapter will mainly discusses the literature environment, ideological trend atthat time. With the huge change of Jikang Calamity, resistance to Jin Dynasty became the eratheme.In the early years of the ShaoXing, the emperor implemented many measures topromote political strategy of YuanYou. Su Shi and Huang Ting jian was taken seriously,theirpoems and articles were popular again. Neo-confucianism became important,and had a directimpact on the Southern Song Dynasty literature development. Buddhism has had greaterdevelopment and had great influence for scholars then. Many scholars and monkscommunicated with each orther, so the thoughts and creations of scholars were influenced bybuddhist thoughts.In the face of foreign threats, the controversy of war existed all the time,having a great influence on the scholars also.The third chapter is about the source of literary creation and thoughts of ZhangXiaoxiang. This part will be about the accepting of all kinds of literary thoughts,combiningthe second chapter. We will discuss the characteristics of his literary works, and make adetailed analysis.This section is divided into three sections. From poetry poetry of the SongDynasty and essay three aspects,the paper will discusse the style of his creations and theorigin, to find influence of the Neo-confucianism and Zen Buddhism on his creation.
