Research On Zhang Xiaoxiang's Calligraphy

This paper is a case study paper,taking Zhang Xiaoxiang's calligraphy as the main research object.The article consists of three chapters.The first chapter objectively restores the background of Zhang Xiaoxiang's times from the aspects of politics,economy,culture and calligraphy environment.Secondly,with Zhang Xiaoxiang's family background and family origin as the main starting point,this paper analyses the origin of his style of writing and the influence of family style on Zhang Xiaoxiang's personality shaping.Thirdly,in the order of time,the author makes an in-depth study of Zhang Xiaoxiang's life experience,the people and things he encounters,and analyses the impact of his life experience on Zhang Xiaoxiang's calligraphy creation and the evolution of his calligraphy style.At the same time,it lists the artistic exchanges between several historically recognized calligraphers and Zhang Xiaoxiang,so as to explore the influence and help of their teachers and friends on their calligraphy,and lay the foundation for the analysis of Zhang Xiaoxiang's calligraphy works later.The second chapter mainly summarizes the characteristics of Zhang Xiaoxiang's calligraphy,such as its selection,shape,composition and style,through his surviving works,so as to enhance a more comprehensive and profound understanding of Zhang Xiaoxiang's calligraphy.At the same time,combined with some of Zhang Xiaoxiang's poetry,letters,inscriptions and postscripts,rulers and inscriptions,we excavate and analyze some of Zhang Xiaoxiang's ideas on calligraphy.At the end of the article,it mainly collects the comments of historical figures on Zhang Xiaoxiang's calligraphy works,discusses its historical status in the Southern Song Dynasty,and the influence of Zhang Xiaoxiang's calligraphy on the Zhang family and even on the style of calligraphy in the Southern Song Dynasty.The innovation of this paper is to objectively analyze the cause and process of the formation and transformation of Zhang Xiaoxiang's style of writing through the background of the times and the environment of calligraphy.Through the communication between teachers and friends during Zhang Xiaoxiang's period,this paper analyses the influence on his calligraphy creation,collects the poetry and historical books of Zhang Xiaoxiang,excavates some viewpoints or thoughts of Zhang Xiaoxiang on calligraphy,and collates and analyses them.This paper mainly uses the methods of literature analysis,image analysis and comparative analysis to compare the literature,pictures and works of the relevant calligraphers,so as to explore Zhang Xiaoxiang's calligraphy art more comprehensively and thoroughly.
