Research On The Public Credibility Of Local Government

The credibility of the government is that the government through functions to theeffective discharge in the policy process to get the trust and support of the public, whichis directly related to the legitimacy of the government,and to obtain the authority ofgovernment.Good credibility of the government contribute to reduce the cost of theimplementation of government policies, and improve the ability of the organization andmobilization of the Government, ensure the social and economic operation efficiency,maintain social stability and orderly as well. To strengthen and effectively enhance thecredibility of the government, has been the most concern of the administrative issues bythe party, also has been mentioned several times in the congress, the Fourth Session ofthe Tenth National People’s Congress, on the Fifth Session of the Tenth NationalPeople’s Congress.The local government is the executing agency of the central government in place,the credibility of the local government will directly determine the effect of theimplementation of the policy of the central government, and determine the localeconomic development and social stability, so it is very necessary to strengthen thecredibility of the local government.At present the local government paid insufficient attention to the construction ofthe credibility of the local government,there is some damage to the credibility of theGovernment while acts in the policy process, will results in the existence of the gapbetween the credibility of the local government and central government, it is need totake effective measures to enhance the credibility of the local government.This paper isanalyzing the current situation and problems of the credibility of the local governmentin recent years, analyzed on the basis of the combined impact factors of the public, thegovernment itself, social and environmental, to construct the credibility of the localgovernment, foster human consciousness, service awareness, sense of responsibility andscientific achievements concept to protect the local government credibility; enhancegovernment management capacity, public services, providing the ability to promote thecredibility of local government; advance government affairs effectively, promote civicparticipation in order to improve the credibility of local government; administration according to law, the implementation of administrative accountability will contribute tomaintain public confidence in construction.
