The impact of social transformation on the elderly crime is extensive andprofound,which is not only reflected in the macro political, economic, andcultural aspects, also reflected in the above in view of family change. Make agood analysis and understanding of these effects will help us to solve theproblem of elderly crime and find effective measures to combat elderly crime.This paper closely around this line of thought and on the basis of demonstratingthe necessity and importance of social transformation for the perspective ofelderly crime, which giving the readers a in-depth and detailed discussion of theroot causes of elderly crime arising from the macro political, economic, andcultural aspects and the concept of family changes. What’s more, this paperprovides a number of recommendations for the prevention of our elderly crime.This paper is divided into three parts:The first part: the perspective of social transformation and the elderlycrime. Social transformation is the process of social structures and operationalmechanisms coverts and evolves from one form to another form, and it is thestructural changes and the overall development of the society. It is extensive,profound and instability. There is great significance of the perspective of socialtransformation to the study of crime, which is decided by the nature of propertyand social transition.The elderly crime problems facing the social transformation and the dualpressures of an aging population in China, and it must be treated importantly bythe whole society; otherwise the problem will develop into a bottleneck offurther development of China’s reform and economic. It is great significance thatfor us to make clear of the features of elderly crime. The elderly crime on thesubject of crime, type of crime, criminal means and the object of crime hastypical characteristics in China. To study the elderly crime from the perspectiveof social transformation is decided by the unique characteristics of the elderlyand the social. The second part: the reasons for elderly crime from the perspective ofsocial transformation.The influence of the social transformation for the elderly crime iswidespread and profound. At the macro level, the political transforms from theethics of governance to the legal governance of social governance model, whichgives significant influence to older people engaged in crimes of passion andstatutory crime; The impact of the economic aspects for elderly crime mainlyfrom industrialization, urbanization and mercerization; Multiculturalism andcultural conflicts caused by social and cultural transformation to the elderlycrime also should not be ignored. At the micro level, family and social changesin elderly crime is reflected in three aspects: the loss of the elder people’s familypower, the weakness official piety and the stagnation of the concept of marriageand family.The third part: the basic thinking of prevention work for the elderly crimefrom the social transformation perspective. Elderly crime is a worldwide problem, and we can get a certain referencefrom the efforts and explore of other countries and regions. The background ofsocial transformation has greatly increased the complexity and seriousness of theelderly crime, which is the special problem of the elderly crime.According to adepth study and grasp of the root causes of elderly crime from the perspective ofsocial transition, We should adhere to the principle of guide is superior to theban, concerns and meet the reasonable demands and insist on the goal of“Fiveold”to do elderly crime prevention work from four aspects: to make a positiveadjustment of social policy, to strengthen social security, to improve laws andregulations as soon as possible and to strive to promote the concept ofinnovation.
