Legal history is the history of the human legal experience, that the rule of law inthe history of how a presence to borrow the words of history is to recover the historyof the legal system. And Legal Historiography is the study of the history of thedevelopment of legal historians. That is the law as a social and historical phenomenonto be studied science. At the same time, the development of any one discipline isinseparable from the self-reflection of their course of development. Historical Reviewof China’s legal system is not merely purposed to restore history. Even more importantis China’s legal historians have been somewhat marginalized in the present value ofthe standard. Although scholars have also a reflection, introspection, and the quest tofind beyond the difficulties and the development of innovative approaches, butreflection has little or nothing to Review of Historiography angle system. This left alot of space for this study.In this paper, the historian’s own internal development trajectory of the Chineselegal system in the category of time in the1990s with China’s legal historiographyspace areas cross field，as the main entry point to the curriculum of Chinese legalhistory, legal history research in China, Chinese legal history research methods.Specifically, the article includes introduction, three chapters, conclusion. First partincluded the topic of this article, as well as the significance of the study, and thenhaving a brief study of the topic combing. The first chapter show the relationship between discipline and social environment from the environment of legal history,taking into account the requirements of the external environment and internaldevelopment to analyze the conditions for the development of the discipline. ChapterII from the legal history of scholarship to start, is in order to reflect the academicprocess of the1990s. This chapter is divided into the central legal history, local legalhistory and national legal history research, described the overall situation, focusedpart of the work to explore the state of development of Chinese legal history. The thirdchapter with the eight decades of the20th century, the first decade of the twenty-firstcentury compared the academic characteristics of the1990s, relatively heavy explore.Finally, the last section takes the text of a brief description of the characteristics of thestudy in the1990s.
