With the continuous innovation of internet technology and rapid development ofinternet society, the grass-roots voluntary organizations in our country embrace morespace for development and platforms with lower costs and higher speed. Internetgrass-roots voluntary organizations have become an important part of ournon-governmental organizations (short for NGO) and the main force of our commonwealth organizations, receiving more and more attention and approval. However, apartfrom those compliments on their services, we should notice there are still someproblems in the voluntary service process. First, they still have difficulties in getting theirlegitimacy due to our double management system, which means that our NGO is bothgoverned by civil affair departments and charging departments. Second, the governanceof the organizations also faces some problems due to their internet platforms. Volunteersare usually constituted by students and warmhearted individuals in society, therefore theservices will be inevitably amateur and somehow blind, which is called the voluntaryfailure of the internet grass-roots voluntary organizations.This thesis analyzes internet grass-roots voluntary organizations through the casestudy of the Hope Volunteer Association of Shenyang, aiming to understand theperformance and reasons of voluntary failure. Then it tries to put forward the solution tothese problems, so that it can help the organization to conduct an effective managementin future.The thesis is mainly divided into five parts: the first part is an introduction, mainlyintroducing the background and significance of the research on the voluntary failure ofinternet grass-roots voluntary organizations, as well as conducting a literature review ofthe relative researches. The second part introduces the relative concepts and theories ofvoluntary failure and internet grass-roots voluntary organizations. The third partintroduces the current situation of the Hope Volunteer Association of Shenyang. Thefourth part analyzes the current situation of the association and discusses the problems ofvoluntary failure during the service process as well as the reasons of those problems. Thefifth part puts forward the corresponding solutions of those problems according to thosereasons.
