The background of China’s politics, economy, society and culture has changed a lot in the new historical period. Great changes have taken place in our party’s historical position, the youth group way of thought and behavior also has new features. The Communist Youth League as the reserve and assistant of our party and government is faced with new opportunities and challenges. Cadres as the backbone and core strength of the Communist Youth League, is the leader of the Youth group. They have responsibility to assist our party and government in constructing Socialism with Chinese characteristics, making good management to the youth. Besides, they should perfect their own organization either. In face to the new situation, cadres from their own sight deem that based on reality, advancing with the times, changing the position and orientation of their development are what they should treat seriously in the future. Only in this way, can they adapt to the trend of the times, make better in the youth work and finish their mission. In the new era, cadres have three positions on themselves from their own point:"successors to the cause of our party","leaders and servers to the enterprise of the youth" and "builders to the Communist Youth League". About to the orientation of development, they think,"officials of the party or government","professional managers of the youth affairs" and "the mind workers of the non-public enterprises". Changes of cadres’ position and orientation of development is not only new requirements that from new period, but also results to cadres on their recognition of themselves and the real needs combine.
